This year is Peterson's 160th anniversary, celebrated with this handsome Oom Paul shape 02BB for the 2025 Pipe of the Year.

The 02 shape was prevalent in the Peterson catalogue from 1896, one of 10 straight-sided Billiards of that era, and it remained popular into the late 1930s. The 2025 Pipe of the Year is designed with the 1930s era in mind, though for the first time in Peterson history, this pipe is stamped with a special anniversary designation, including the year: Made in Ireland 1865-2025. It is also serially numbered out of 1000 pipes made. Your pipe's number is all its own.

The stem features our famous tapered P-Lip design. When the tongue is tucked under the notch on the underside of the lip button, smoke disperses evenly through the mouth for enhanced, tastebud-encompassing flavour. Particularly noticeable is the effortless balance of this slimline pipe, offering light, easy, hands-free smoking when it's perched in the teeth.

While the sparkling silver band is visually impressive, it is this pipe's shape that dominates its appeal. The smooth, flowing lines of this vertically dominant design are extended by the tapered stem for a shape that eloquently harmonises with the classic Peterson aesthetic. Though it could be mistaken for a System pipe, this Oom Paul provides standard engineering for a more conventional smoking experience.

The included pipe bag is made from authentic Irish tweed from the Kerry Woollen Mills factory in county Kerry, founded in 1760 and famous worldwide. It is 100% wool hand woven on traditional looms and containing flecks of colour reminiscent of heather, moss, and wildflowers, inspired by the Irish countryside.
