Lionel Harwood "Buck" Casson was a Royal Air Force officer and Battle of Britain pilot who served with No. 616 Squadron.

During the Battle of Britain, Casson was appointed commander of B Flight, 616 Squadron, after the unit suffered heavy losses.

On August 9, 1941, during "Circus 68", he was shot down by Hptm. Schopfel of JG26.

He was awarded the DFC (Distinguished Flying Cross), AFC (Air Force Cross), and AE (Air Efficiency Award).
